The University of Chester is delighted to be hosting the biannual Cathedrals Group Choir Festival on 15-17th March, joined by university choirs, chaplains and VCs from across the country. The highlight of the weekend will be a concert in Chester Cathedral on Saturday 16th March, framed around the theme of the world famous Chester Mystery Plays, and will include a suite of music from the highly acclaimed 2023 production, as well as a range of other choral items. The concert brings together the university choirs and performers from the Chester Mystery Plays 2023, led by our University of Chester’s Choir Director Matt Baker.

Please also join us earlier for a short public performance, featuring the choirs together with our city’s town crier and Karamba Samba Band in Chester city centre at 6.30pm, starting halfway down Bridge Street.
